Duplicitous Franklin Duplicitous Franklin Benjamin Franklin strives to be even more perfect than he envisions himself to be. He has a strong belief that he is better than everyone else, while professing to be humble. D. H. Lawrence is correct in his theory concluding that Benjamin Franklin is a hypocrite. Franklin was a man who believed he was capable of anything that he deemed attainable and although he achieved many accomplishments within his life, he never lived up to the priority goal that he had set for himself.
