Define the six parts of tragedy by Aristotle-
Aristotle believed that were six parts of tragedy, plot, character, thought (theme), language, melody (music), and spectacle. Plot is a series of events that happens on stage. It must have a beginning, middle, and an end. Character is discovered by what they say and do, what others say and the appearance. A character is also someone who re- enacts the actions of the plot. Thought/theme is the moral lesson of the plot, the observation of life. Language is an image that is created in the mind. Melody/music complement the action on the stage, which is also known as the media that effects the imitation. Finally, spectacle, which is the manner, is represented through costumes, props, set design, and special effects.
Define tragedy-
Tragedy can be defined a numerous amount of ways, for instance, if a person commits an unfortunate error like not paying attention while driving he or she can be caught in a tragic accident. Therefore I feel that tragedy is when a basically good person makes a fatal misjudgment that leads to there demise or death. Aristotle said that tragedy affects the
