The book was based on the events of the Watergate affair, in which only a few reporters worked on. The two, which lead to the resignation of Nixon, were Carl Bernstein and bob Woodward from the Washington post. They exposed the biggest media story of the century. On the night of June 17 1972 a major United States political scandal that began with the burglary and wiretapping of the Democratic Party’s campaign headquarters, later engulfed President Richard M.
