The first character that was illustrated and one whom the narrator spoke very highly of was the Knight. In the narrator’s eyes, the Knight is the noblest of the pilgrims, embodying military bravery, chivalry, loyalty, honor, generosity, and good manners. One would say that even though so much distinguished, he was also very wise. Often, the Knight was honored for his Christianity and noble graces.
