Death Of A Salesman Willy Lomans Wrong Dream Interpretation in Death of a Salesman Willy Loman the character in Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller is an example of self-destruction, and how a wrong dream can corrupt one person’s mind. Willy Loman had the wrong dream, because he would refuse to except any change that was happening around him, the values that he worshiped in life applied rarely to his own, and the failure he suffered in the business world would destroy him in the end. Change was always hard for Willy to except especially about the things that he held most dear. His life long experience thought him much, but as the world changed around him, he refused to change with it. Willy Loman had no use for change by pointing out the tiniest difference; “I don’t want a change. I want Swiss Cheese. Why am I always being contradicted'” What Willy never realized is that the people around him were changing, some for the better and some for the worse, but all of them different from what Willy expected them to be. Change was a part of life, which Willy didn’t want to admit.
