Howard Stern Disgusting! Chauvinistic! Ugly! These are a few of the many vulgar comments made about Howard Allen Stern. But little do people know he too was an ordinary shy boy with a dream. He grew up in New York, where he attended an all black school. Being part of a white minority, Howard was picked on and tormented especially by the girls. Because he had few friends in school, Stern decided to follow in his father’s footsteps by becoming a radio personal. He attended Boston University and graduated with a degree in communications and a 3.8 GPA. After failing at many radio gigs, the 6 ft. 4 inch man was found by being different that everyone else. ‘“It dawned on me that I would never make it as a straight deejay, so I started to mess around. It was unheard-of to mix talking on the phone with playing music. It was outrageous, It was blasphemy" said Howard Stern in an Interview’ (Howard Stern Biography). Although Howard Stern’s reputation is controversial, in reality, he just wants to stand out and be appreciated. Many people, who don’t like Howard Stern, stand by their views because they don’t know much about him. All they see stern, howard, people, about, show, radio, just, because, talk, out, way, man, know, game, wrong, women, type, try, together, things, stand, shy, shock, set, school, say, outrageous, off, now, never, movie, made, love, life, intentionally, hit
