Depression Depression Depression is a potentially serious disorder that many people unfortunately deal with on a daily basis. Having dealt with someone who has had depression creeping up on them since they were four years old, I know a little about what it takes to live with a person like this. This relationship I am referring to is one between me and a girl with whom I spent four years of my life. It was a very serious relationship that meant a lot to both of us. The reason I am bringing this up is because you can learn a lot about a person in four years. The deepest, darkest secrets are shared. I can remember the first secret she told me. This secret alone made me realize something about her. She told me that when she was four, she was at a lake with her family on a vacation. On this trip something inside of her just snapped and she tried to drown herself in the lake. This to me told me there was more to her than clearly present.
