Love The “Self-Expansion Theory of Love” is the theory that an individual has the capability to grow and develop as a result of the person with which they are involved in a relationship. We have learned that in this theory there is a possibility of the existence of motivation, for one or both members of a relationship, to self expand. There is also the possible outcome for an individual to incorporate aspects of other individuals to themselves. This concept can have a very noticeable outcome in a person’s lifestyle. In retrospect to the Self-Expansion Theory of Love, some outcomes in relationships that occur can be negative and undetected or just ignored by individuals involved. This theory and contradictory is one that I have seen in many of my friends and collegues. I will discuss the one case that I am most familiar with. In my early childhood I met a young man, names Kenny. Kenny and I met when we were ten years old. We became best friends and have remained close confidants.
