Horror In The Holey Land Horror in the Holy Land Day after day we hear stories of missile attacks, tank attacks, shootings, raids, and suicide bombings occurring in the Holy Land of Israel. Innocent civilians are being murdered on both sides of the conflict. What started as Palestinian demonstrations involving stone-throwing, now has Palestinians facing off against Israeli soldiers with rifles and the deadly explosive devices that they attach to themselves to deliberately blow themselves up and everything around them. Who’s right and who’s wrong' Can a peace agreement ever be made' What does the future hold for America in all of this' Clearly before all of this can be solved, action must be taken, and blood must be shed. Over the past half year or so, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has become more and more militarized. The Israelis have long maintained the Middle East’s most powerful and technological sophisticated fighting force. But the Palestinians are increasingly organized into units that carry out guerrilla attacks and attempt to repel Israeli incursions into Palestinian-ruled territory. Secretive cells employ a low-tech, low-cost form of unconventional warfare: the suicide bomb (Barr, 2001). This seems to be the weapon of choice for most Palestinians.
