Law enforcement officers play a very important part in the service the community receives and therefore the reputation of the agency. Officers are also essential for the day to day running of the law enforcement agency. Unmotivated employees will not perform as well which causes the entire agency to be open to liabilities and preventable incidents that can cause a safety breach for the citizens of the community, the officer, and other officers involved in the situation.
