The Fragmentation Of Power In The Greatest Government Of The World The Fragmentation of Power in the Greatest Government of the World The United States of America has arguably one of the best governments in the world. One of the main reasons for this is that the powers of the government are well dispersed between the people and the several different governmental positions. The more widely spread a nation’s power is, the better and stronger the nation will run. A simpler form of this idea would be that two heads are stronger than one; it is better to have more people running the nation than less people. The powers of the American government are not only widely spread, but also very evenly distributed among the different branches of the government. First off, we have three different levels of government where power is distributed progressively. Since our nation is broken into states and our states broken into counties and our counties broken into cities, we have federal, state, and local governments. The local governments, county and city, have the least power. Then comes state governments and finally, the federal government has the most power.
