Libreral War In Iraq To think of a war in Iraq would be discrediting the forefathers of the United States of America. Justin Raimando argues that the war in Iraq should not be fought for the simple reason of Patriotism. According to another article on www.MotherJones.com the Bush administration has been hypocritical. Last summer at West Point, president Bush gave a speech about how the country will be following the lead of a 354-year old doctrine, the Treaty of Westphalia. Jim Lobe, of the Asia Times, summarizes the treaty saying that it "Codified the principles of sovereignty and non-interferences in the international affairs of other countries." However, now they would like to go to war with Iraq. It has been over a year now and the Bush administration's policy has greatly changed. The conservative argument would promote the act of war against Iraq. This is obvious because Bush, himself, is a conservative. He feels that by taking out Saddam Hussein and his supposed nuclear bombs, that he is potentially saving the lives of many United States citizens. But what he does not realize is that he is united, states, war, iraq, bush, towards, conservative, world, view, treaty, thus, seems, reason, out, nuclear, now, involved, international, hatred, creating, country, countries, been, because, act, year, wwwmotherjonescom, without, westphalia, west, twin, towers, times, though
