Christine Whitman Bill Bradley was a household name. In fact 98 out of 100 New Jerseyans could identify with him, but not only as a U.S. Senator seeking a third term (The Record, 1990). However, Whitman was born swaddled in political bunting, her father Webster Todd, the Chairman of the State Republican party and her mother, Eleanor, a Republic National Committeewoman (Weissman, 1996).
