9-11 On September 11, 2001, the comfort blanket that we live under in the United States of America was shattered by acts of terrorism. September 11, 2001, a crisp, clear and otherwise very normal day, but a day that I will never forget for it is the day that America came under attack. Now a year later, Americans as well as people from all over the world reflect on this cowardly act of terrorism. Many laws have been made and others changed in order to avoid the events of what is now been dubbed 9-11. Why did they kill so many innocent people' Are there alternatives to wars' Why does the world seem to hate the United States of America' These are some of the questions that we now ask ourselves. As the mother and wife of two service members, the attack on America on September 11, 2001 hit very close to home. The freedom that we value so much and the security we have found in our homes were forever taken. Horror and fear were our new companions.
