James Joyce Each of us have our own way in dealing with the problems in our lives. Most of the time these problems set off our emotions. We tend to feel envious towards others. Each one of us handle the situations differently. But sometimes, the solutions aren't always the answer to those problems. James Joyce shows these problems. The way he shows us this is by showing how people in situations deal with paralysis and escape. A story by Joyce called "A little cloud" shows how a man by the name of Chandler dreams of being famous. In a sense he is living in the clouds of his own thoughts and dreams. "Every step brought him nearer to London, father from his own sober inartistic life". What I think he means by this statement is that he feels like a nobody. By reading poetry by Byron he's focusing on Byron’s ideas. Poetry is supposed to be unique, things about your own life to share. But he had nothing unique about his life. What was he actually doing to get to London'. Chandler was a married man with a child. He probably felt like his current life stopped him from achieving his goal chandler, boy, life, way, think, story, shows, felt, something, child, being, about, things, one, joyce, gallaher, towards, seems, problems, own, man, himself, girl, gabriel, dead, araby, ways, time, sense, poetry, people, nothing, neighborhood, name, michael
