Explication
In the poem The Road not taken, Robert Frost describes his decision on which road to lead his life.
To roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
This stanza is describing Robert Frosts encounter in life of which road to lead hi life. The poem also describes in lines one and two that he must choose only one road to go down because one man cannot travel two roads at one time. In lines three and four Robert Frost describes himself looking down the roads to see all he can before making his lifes decision.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
In the second stanza, Robert Frost is describing how he looked at the other road, and how it looked to be the better of the two because of its grassy and well traveled appearance. Line three is showing that this is the road that is most
