Encouraging Freedom War is a scary thing. No one truly wants war but because of our human nature it is inevitable that it occur in the socialized world we have created. Over the years wars have been fought for various reasons such as for land, vengeance, money and simply out of greed. Dylan Thomas wrote a beautiful and inspiring piece of literature when he wrote, “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night.” He inspired daring men to fought until the bitter end for what they believed in. Thomas urged them on in battle not to give up but rather to fight with all they had. Through a couple literary techniques, the beauty and inspiration in Dylan Thomas’ work is displayed to the audience. I am very fortunate because I never had any close ties to anyone who has fought in a war. My great, great grandfather was killed in one of the world wars but I never knew him and I barely know of him. No one ever talks about the war so I have never felt it appropriate to ask questions. I do know what it is like to have grandparents slip war, men, thomas, rage, think, soldiers, fighting, about, until, same, night, good, fight, death, world, through, simply, poem, never, lives, light, life, know, go, end, dying, don’t, die, because, words, wise, wasn’t, wars, very, stories
