Just Say No Everyone wants young people to avoid the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse. I strongly encourage this movement. If young people continue to use drugs their futures will be jeopardized as well as their appearance, and different forms of diseases can be diagnosed. Obviously, the consumption of drugs and alcohol can only lead to no good. First, drugs will affect one’s future in many aspects. Take academics for example. Surely a person that has been under the influence of drugs will not perform to his best capability. A recent article in Readers Digest pointed out that eighty-five percent of our nations dropouts have had some kind of experience with drugs and alcohol. Another consequence is, if a drug abuser gets arrested for being under the influence he will have to serve time in jail. If this addict has a family they will suffer a great deal to survive. Just imagin that you’re a housewife with four children and you just found out that your husband, the bread winner, was taken away from you.
