View Of Toledo The View of Toledo The View of Toledo is a famous painting by El Greco. El Greco is an artist who was born in 1541 and died in 1614. The View of Toledo is now located in the in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the H.O. Havemeyer collection. The sky is the first art of the painting I am going to describe. The sky is located at the top of the painting and goes down to about a quarter. The color of the sky is many colors mixed together.The colors that make up the sky are; violet purple, teal green, and sky blue. The mid section of the painting is made up of hills and the city of Toledo. Below the sky is the countryside. The city is located in the upper right hand corner with the sky drooping over it. The city stretches from the right side of the painting to about mid point of the painting. The city looks over the countryside covered with lots of grass hills and trees.
