More Minorities In Architecture A topic that I fell very strongly about is how in the field of architecture, blacks are strongly under represented. If you go to an architectural firm you may see one or two black faces, If any. This is probably due to the commitment that needs to be put forth from our young black people. In our society we are not raised to become doctors and lawyers but we are taught to be athletic rather than to be smart among your peers whereas in other societies. If your one of the smartest you are looked up to, in a sense. I believe strongly also this is a problem due to parenting inside the household. Every child has a mind and can think. So parenting needs to be enforced by helping to develop your child mental growth. Getting back to the subject of why there are so few black architects is because it is a hard field to establish recognition as a talented artist. Also because society really hasn’t put forth the effort to express to young black s the famous African-American architects. Due to the extreme fact minorities are so because, minorities, strongly, due, people, black, white, society, one, much, field, fact, criticism, better, architecture, young, very, under, think, take, represented, put, profession, peers, parenting, offered, needs, minority, hard, getting, forth, fell, every, effort, child
