Artificial Intelligence Tragic Hero When we mention the word HERO, people automatically think of “a superhero, an unnatural phenomenon that saves the world”, but in the case of the movie: Artificial Intelligence, directed by Steven Spielberg. Our “Hero” in this movie, or Tragic Hero, is a little robot boy named David, played by Haley Joel Osmoent. David, is a robot in search of his dreams of becoming a real boy, but the failure of fulfilling his dream is what makes him, the tragic hero of the movie. A tragic hero, is the character in the movie or book that creates a certain emotion in the audience, they make you feel compenetrated with them, and poignantly they transmit you their feelings through their actions. David, is this robot created by cientists that have programmed him to love, dream and care about others, just like a normal blithe boy.
