Forrests Gump We watched Forrest Gump in English class. Every movie has a theme to it or an informational statement they are trying to get across. Maybe not directly but through watching the movie it should be able to get caught through out the movie. The piece of information Forrest Gump gives us is; No matter what you are like, no matter what disability you have, you can do and live a normal and maybe an extraordinary life. Forrest lives an amazing life despite his handicap. He is a little mentally slow. Usually mentally slow people are looked down upon and thought of as being “stupid”, incapable of doing work or anything constructive. Watching Forrest and his life it shows that you can do as you please when you put your mind into it. He receives honors, medals, meets the president twice, and many more things a “normal” human wouldn’t be able to do. He shows persistence and courage.
