Film Review On Tombstone Vivid Imagery and powerful acting depict the historical events of Tombstone with apparent Accuracy. Tombstone, a archetypal western, is a quality film that brings to life the story of the legendary Dodge City marshal Wyatt Earp and his pursuit of justice in the western town of Tombstone. Tombstone is a lawless town inhabited by a group of carousing locals. The entire town is also victimized by a gang of infamous outlaw cowboys. Wyatt, Virgil, and Morgan are the only people around to confront the cowboys head-on. The events ultimately lead up to the climatic shootout at the O.K. Corral. Overall, the film is well done, however many aspects detract from this potentially exceptional movie. Tombstone has an exceptional cast that includes Val Kilmer, Kurt Russell, and Michael Biehn. The cast, both the leads and the extras, create an atmosphere that lends itself to being credible and authentic. The dialogue between Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday is most of the time well written. Doc Holliday is portrayed by Val Kilmer with a quality of plausibility and energetic flair that carries out well throughout the movie.
