Feelings of pride, hope and cohesion among you and your countrymen replace those of uncertainty, fear and failure. Overjoyed, you return to your house and try to get some sleep. The next morning, June 6th, 1944, you awake extra early, anticipating some kind of national announcement. Just after 9:00am you hear your anticipation. “ Under the command of General Eisenhower, Allied naval forces supported by strong air forces began landing Allied armies this morning d-day, invasion, normandy, forces, calais, allied, troops, weather, 1944, time, supreme, knew, june, german, eisenhower, date, cossac, commander, churchill, aircraft, two, staff, sounds, sailed, planning, plan, one, off, landing, know, germans, fleets, ever, during, dummy
