The Depression Since the Great Depression occurred many people like my family and I do not have a great deal of extra spending money to do things in our leisure time. My family every so often goes to the Movie Theater to see movies with sound. It costs about 10 cents per person for a 3-hour movie show. I enjoy Mickey Mouse and other cartoon characters, movies help make these times easier since you are thinking about other things rather than the depression.
