Nonrenewable Resources We may soon run out of some of our nonrenewable resources. These can never be replaced once gone. Some examples of nonrenewable resources are coal, oil, natural gas, and minerals. These resources were highly misused until government regulations were passed to protect them. For example, for every ton of coal mined, one ton was wasted. The government has now promoted more efficient mining methods, and other sources of energy have lengthened our coal supply. Government, industry, and citizens all have to take part to conserve these resources. An example of how this is being done is that smaller cars are being produced that meet effiencey standards. The government set the standards; the industry produced the cars to meet them; the citizens purchase these cars. Efficiency standards were also passed for appliances, resources, nonrenewable, energy, standards, people, make, government, coal, cars, ton, sources, should, produced, power, passed, new, mining, meet, industry, help, example, efficient, conserve, citizens, being, wind, ways, wasteful, wasted, until, tried, take, supply, stopping, source, solar
