Leadership What Leadership Means To Me Leadership – according to Webster’s Dictionary – is the office or position of a leader, the quality of a leader. A leader is a person who guides or directs. Does that explain what a leader is' It is my belief that anyone can be a leader, that being a leader is not just in a title. A person who takes the initiative to see that something is done, a wrong made right, an effort attempted – that is a leader. Leaders are also people who may not know the way to get something accomplished, but do know the right people that can get it done. Our president is considered a leader. For him to be a leader of our nation, he must surround himself with people who have experience and knowledge. These people, in turn surround themselves with more people who have knowledge and experience – and this goes on – all the way down to the very lowest worker that works with him. Because each layer or groups of people rely on others, in my opinion, they are all leaders.
