Sept. 11 The United States was very shocked as the reports of September eleventh came in. Many different emotions were flying around, ranging from anger, to fear, to concern, and eventually pride within the nation. The greatest affect on me was the thought that anyone or anything could have been hit. My dad is a fireman and paramedic for the city of Ennis. I was so hurt as the news came in about the number of firefighter’s lives being lost, knowing that anyone of those firemen could have been my dad or a kid my age just trying to do there best to save the lives of others. The thought of having to go on with my life without my dad, or the thought of my family having to move on with loosing me, sent me into a total shock. I felt very compassionate to all the many people who had lost their loved ones. There was so much sadness as kids found out there was no more mommy or daddy, or as parents found out they had lost a son or a daughter. It was in light of this I decided to go out and do what I could for the nation.
