Change how has your understanding of the consequences of change been shaped by the techniques used by various composers' My opinion has been shaped by the texts that I have read in my class text “Away” by Michael Gow, “The Door” by Miroslav Holub, “Now you see me…” by Maggie Alderson, “Sensory Overload” by Casey Goldberg, and “American History X” by Tony Kay through the techniques they have used to get their point of view across. I have learned that change is usually a good thing but you can have bad aspects of change. In “Away” by Michael Gow, because it’s a play he used the technique of first person to give you a more personal view of how the characters are feeling and what they are thinking when they react to the change which has occurred. One example of this is Coral, Coral is married to Roy who is a headmaster at a school, Coral and Roy’s son had died in Vietnam and they are both upset about it, but Coral starts to become depressed and isolated from society.
