Diesel Diognostics Engine analysis is done on the generator to ensure it is operating properly and at optimum performance. A performance analysis of the number three ship service diesel generator was done aboard the T.S. Golden Bear. The indicated power for each cylinder was determined by using equation 1. From this equation we can determine how well the power is balanced across the six cylinders.
