Communication Disorder TEACHING STRATEGIES 1. Teaching Strategy: For student with communication disorder the teacher needs to increase the amount of talk time the student is receiving. The class would be put into groups and have a subject that they had to describe how something works. Each person in the group would take their turn describing how a different part of the object works. The student would be communicating with others in-group. When they are finished the teacher would designate one spokesperson for each group. The teacher would pick the student with the learning disability to tell the class what their group came up with. 2. Another teaching strategy for a student with a learning disability would be to give the student a word bank, if they are correcting a paragraph in English. This will help them to complete the task without becoming frustrated because they didn’t get the proper form of student, words, teacher, help, correctly, correct, students, group, each, works, way, teaching, take, strategy, skit, repetition, question, pronounce, practice, learning, just, having, disability, class, ask, yes, working, word, without, week, until, turn, trouble, times, time
