Learning Faster
In an article titled "No Books please; we're students, written by John Leo, various explanations are offered by several professors around the country that attempt to explain why college students seem to be more disengaged towards their studies. In the article suggestions range from students not being motivated enough to handle the college work load to the idea that students who are now engulfed by an amusement culture arent being entertained enough by their teachers. The article was written nearly eight years ago but the problem being discussed still exists today and there is a considerable amount of different reasons why college students are uninterested in school. Personally I believe that the reason for this seemingly detrimental behavior among todays college students is a result of the progression of technology in recent years.
If I were to compare the internet to what it was eight years ago Im sure I would see that it has gotten bigger, faster, and if anything else smarter. With this being said students are now capable of obtaining reliable information faster then ever before which may very well equate to time they have to spend studying.
