Block Scheduling Four students have the same assignment due next class. One student does it that night. Two students take two days to do the assignment. Lastly, one student does the assignment the next night. All four students hand the assignment in on time and get full credit for it. How can this be' These four students attend Woodland Regional High School (WRHS) where they have block scheduling. In block scheduling students have four 80 minute classes on a regular school day, plus lunch and advisory. This means they have two different days with four different subjects each day. Most students in WRHS are aginst block scheduling, but after researching and really thinking about it I have come to realize that having a class every other day for 80 minutes makes a big difference in learning. Every night students from WRHS get four periods worth of homework. In a regular scheduled day student would get seven periods worth of homework.
