Adopt A Reader Adopt a Reader Introduction: I have chosen Jayson to conduct this informal reading test. I have noticed he is having difficulty in understanding or comprehending the reading materials given to him. On many occasions I have given him different levels of reading material and every time he would try to avoid doing the reading. I have always wondered why this is so. That is why I have chosen him to do this assignment with, in the hopes that in the end I would be able to help him. Jayson is a 10-year-old male that is of Korean decent. He is about 5 feet tall, which is normal for a boy of his age. He is not physically or mentally impaired. He has two working eyes and ears. He is in good general health. From my records I was able to see he has not missed a day of school or after school. Jayson was able to show me his report card a few weeks ago and from it I was able to see his grades vary from 1’s to 3’s (predominantly in the 2’s and 3’s).
