Many students would protest and walk around the halls with signs and petitions of refusal, while others would give a silent sigh of relief. Over the years, many public schools have resorted to uniforms to help the students focus more on their education and not on what the latest trends are. Requiring uniforms in high schools may help to reduce the issues of discrimination, sexual offense and violence, and encourage students to concentrate more on their education without invading their right to express themselves. High school students today fear discrimination from their peers concerning what they wear. Some of the biggest issues high school students’ face is their social status and what people think of them.
