The development of the plot reflects the change of the historical life, but also reflects the changes of the people's morality and aesthetics. The richness of the plot enhances the artistic charm of the story and makes the thought and content more richer and more complicated such as increase of the concept of good and evil, highlighting contrast between goodness and evil. But on the whole, there is a theme of the ethical ideas of the story, which is reflected in the loyalty, and piety of protagonists. For example, Zhu Yingtai and Liang Shanbo lived together for three years without having any immoral conduct, which is virtue; for Shanbo and Yingtai, there is precious friendship; Yingtai also did not oppose the marriage bonds and blame the father, which is filial piety. Judging from the actual situation, the story of this period is full of loyalty and piety thought, which is more obvious and more specific than the first stage. The relevant historical records often thought highly of the Confucian “righteousness” or “chastity” of Zhu Yingtai’s character (Zheng, 7). This is related to the emergence and development of Neo-Confucianism. In the third stage, although the tone of "loyalty and piety" tone has not been fundamentally changed, it also stressed the promotion of emotional equality between men and women, and added free imagination: they are becoming the gorgeous butterfly. Thus, it has shown thoughts and influences of a new era.
