Artificial intelligence is a science of knowledge. AI technology in e-learning systems nowadays leads to personalized, adaptive, and intelligent function to students and teachers(Wen, & Lin, 2008). With knowledge as the object, it includes knowledge acquisition, representation and use.
There are two different ways to implement artificial intelligence on a computer. The first is to employ traditional programming methods to get the system to be intelligent, despite whether the techniques employed is similar to that employed by the people. The first way is engineering method, which has achieved results in some fields such as word recognition, computer chess, etc. The second manner is the modeling approach, which is a focus on the effect and demands the implementation techniques to be the same as or similar to that employed by humans or living organisms.
The AI system process is Data Processing -> Knowledge Processing, and Data -> Symbols. The symbol represents knowledge rather than value or data. Then it collects information about a situation through sensors (or entered the data manually ). The computer contrast the information with the stored information to decide its meaning. Then it calculates different possible behaviors related to the collected facts, and then decides which one works best. Computers can only solve the problems that the program allows to solve, and lack the analytical abilities in general . AI technology is acted as a method of intelligently employing large amounts of data by using computer processing capacity(Moriwaki, et al, 2016). The basis of artificial intelligence is computing power and data, and the core is the algorithm. In terms of computing power, it needs GPU parallel computing, future quantum computing, faster chips, lower storage and calculation costs. In terms of data, the more data, the more able the computer to find new rules and enhance intelligence level.
