In terms of asset-back security, CarMax completes private placement of $490 million in asset-backed notes in 2009. On Aug. 4, 2014, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today assigned its preliminary ratings to CarMax Auto Owner Trust 2014-3's $1,000 million auto receivables asset-backed notes.
