Plato's Symposium records the understandings of love by ancient Greek philosophers. The philosophers explain the generation of love from the nature of human beings. Then, Plato grasps the rational aspects of human nature. Love is the fascination of the spirit and the pursuit and yearning for the good things (Symposium pp.8-10). From this point of view, I think the following idea put forward by Plato is very important.

Plato pointed out that love is the same as all other acts, and we cannot say the behavior itself is good or bad. For example, drinking and singing do not contain any moral judgments. What we judge is the result of its implementation, which gives moral meaning to the behavior. This transformation reflects the dialectic of Plato's thinking. His dialectics is the dialectic of movement in concept, the movement of logical ideas (Hegel, 2015). Love is also like this. Love itself has no pros and cons, but the result of love leads to different judgments. Despite, some other ideas would show that the essence of things has advantages and disadvantages, but I do not agree. My thoughts are similar to those of Plato. Any good or bad behaviors can be transformed into each other, and the changes in behavior based on the changes of thinking over time would lead to different outcomes. Even the result of one thing is different for different people, and there is no absolute difference between good and bad.

Later, Plato proposed that laws should be enacted against people who fall in love young children. Love here refers to deception. The law should be used to prevent people from using love in immature children. People do not know anything about the consequences of abusive love, and they do not know how their children will develop in the future mentally and physically.

Currently, the number of those crimes against children is increasing, and criminals always emphasize the attraction of the children, and then lead to criminal behaviors. I am very confused when I see this statement. I do not know if this is an excuse for them to escape from offense and punishment, or their morality is totally lost. However, this thinking is not the most important; I have a belif to protect young children. As a result, I joined a child protection organization online and I promote the importance of child protection on social media platforms. Admittedly, people can be attracted to the beauty of children, but the love should just lead to caring, but not invading. As Plato said, love itself is not right or wrong, but the way of using love involves moral judgment.
