So in the group discuss, all members should be concentrated while someone is speaking.

If the audience appears to be boring and inpatient, the speaker may be upset and disappointing. He or she may also lose the confidence about the view he or she presenting, or even be angry for not being respected. The unpleasant atmosphere makes group members awkward and refrain them to speak freely.

Friend: "It makes sense. Will keep it in mind"

Me: During the discussion, it’s highly possible that people have different opinions, and some opinions might be totally opposite. When you find the speaking presenting a view that contradictory to yours and not exactly correct, it’s ok for you to give out your comment. However, you should be careful while giving out such comments

Friend: "Why?"

Me: It's not easy for someone to accept the fact his or her view is wrong, especially in front of other people. Besides, your comment hasn’t been guaranteed to be the correct one. So you should pay attention to the way you give your comment. First of all, do not interrupt the speaker and give your view if they do not say so beforehand. Secondly, you can show you endorsement to the points you really agree and then mention the points you think might not be right. Try to use soft word instead of tough ones and do not be too aggressive and judgmental

Friend: "Ok, will be careful when giving comment."

Me: There’re also other things you should avoid. For example, do not use the complex words and expressions.

Friend: "Why?"

Me: Group discussion involves different perspectives that origin from the different cultures, backgrounds or even gender, et cl. If you try to use the special terms frequently, other people would fail to get you message with efficiency, and eventually the discussion becomes time consuming.

Me:  Besides, don’t merely listen to the oral speaking. Attention should also pay to the body language, the speed and tone of the speaker. In this way, you might get words unspoken.

Friend: "Why?"

Me: People might be reserved while giving out their views in public, and they may not present themselves in a directly way. So you should also pay attention to information or message from other aspects, such as facial expression, gesture, tone and speaking speed.
