On the importance of acting

It seems that there is an endless list of actors, nevertheless, good actors are rare and few. In my view, a good actor must possess several good qualities. The first one is to be authentic. The most impressive performance comes mainly from the authentic feeling a good actor shows. Performing is the kind of art concerning interaction between performers and viewers. Another vital quality is the ability to express his or her inner emotions and feelings. Good performers always manage to gives the viewers a wonderful visual feast. An actor who fails to show feelings and emotions would never strike a cord with audiences.
      Frankly, the leading actor is a good actor. He has a lot of wonderful qualities shared by the other perfect performers. Firstly, he is a master in shaping the role of the hero. He can find the truest part of the hero and play that to the great extent. Also, he is good at expressing his emotions, which can give the audience an authentic feeling and an impressive visual enjoyment. 
     It is widely acknowledged that Jeniffer Lawrence has gained great reputation and fame from The Hunger Games. However, some film critics pointed out that Jeniffer Lawrence’s performance is crude and unnatural. In my view, she is one of the best American actresses. She has played an array of films, among which Silver Linings Playbook is her representative work. In that film, she fully achieves her performing potential. 
     Compared with other gorgeous film performers, Jeniffer Lawrence is a bit of average-looking. Initially, some people even casted doubt on her career prospect in Hollywwod, but she proves her real talents in performing. Doubtlessly, Jeniffer has a wide variety of distinctive qualities. The most noticeable one is her rich facial expressions. In Silver Linings Playbook, she plays the role of a flirtatious divorced young woman who gains a notorious reputation among her neighbors. But when she first meets Pat performed by Bradley Cooper, she falls in love with him. After the following days hanging out with Pat, she fails to control her own mood. When she stays with Pat, she behaves like a happy woman. Sometimes she yells at Pat like a crazy bull. The viewers can easily tell her mood simply by staring at her face. In other words, she never fails to let her emotions and feelings flow smoothly. 
Another distinctive character is that she is always successful in giving audience an authentic feeling instead of an emotionless actress reading the scripts. It is quite clear that Jeniffer has already forget who she really is but is born on mind that she is Tiffany who has suffered the hurt of losing her beloved husband.
Besides, Jeniffer Lawrence constantly has the courage to be herself, daring to love and hate. It is reported that Jeniffer is quite arrogant and not well-mannered. Similarly, she behaves the same way in films, especially in Silver Linings Playbook. When she meets someone she loves, she just sums up the courage to get him. She shows an indifferent attitude to her neighbors’ prejudice against her. Without any doubt, she is never afraid of showing her inner feelings. After she knows that Pat often does the morning exercises in the neighborhood, she awaits him and pretends meeting him by accident. Every time she feels be unfairly treated she will fight back without any hesitation. The scene she argues with Pat’s father is really impressive.
     Also, Jennifer Lawrence is apt at using various kinds of body languages while performing in the films. Some film critics even argue that she goes too far in using body languages. As far as I am concerned, she is a master in using body languages. Her body languages contribute a lot to her flawless performance.
Taken together, I think Jeniffer Lawrence is on the top list of successful actress. On the other hand, a bad actor may also possess certain qualities. The commonest ability a bad actor lacks is the ability to show the characters’ inner feelings. In the Silver Linings Playbook, for instance, Bradley Cooper performs not as well as Jeniffer. The most significant difference between them is the expression of the characters’ feelings. Jeniffer Lawrence, just like mentioned above, expresses her emotions by virtue of a wide variety of methods: language, facial expressions, and body languages. In contrast, Bradley Cooper fails to do that as successfully as Jenifer. 
     Another quality a bad actor does not have is the authentic feeling he or she manages to give to the viewers. It is commonplace that some singers or other amateur actors have a go at performing in the films. Versatile as they are, we have to admit that some of them are really bad actors. For example, Jason Statham was an athlete and later chose to be an actor because of his wonderful figure. It is not difficult at all to find that his earlier performance is far from perfect, even a little rude, to some extent. Initially, what he does in the films like Crank series is to fight and nothing else. He shows no expertise in performing. But later, his performing skills are greatly improved. We can clearly find his improvements in films like Home Front and Hummingbird. In films he is the former silent guy he used to be; instead, he starts to show the characters’ feelings by virtue of facial expressions and languages. Most importantly, he tries his utmost to give an authentic feeling to the audience.
