  Forrest Gump is a classical inspirational film which put on the stage in 1995. Even though many years have passed by, it still plays a very profound, essential and unique role in today’s filmdom. There are many shining points in this film. It has the brilliant and attractive story line and at the same time the actor’s interpretation towards Forrest Gump is excellent. Besides, the arrangement of the small potato’s struggle history is appropriate. The theme of love and some traditional views ingeniously obtain demonstration. All of these let Forrest Gump surpass other entertainment films and become an era of film. Next, it will focus on three specific points to illustrate the reason why it is necessary to watch Forrest Gump.    

  First of all, after watching Forrest Gump, people would obtain many practical life enlightenments. Forrest Gump is a person with birth defects. However, this deficiency doesn’t make his mother and himself self-pitying. Instead, his mother’s attic faith and Gump’s spirit of bearing hardships help him successfully overcome the physical defects and finally become a billionaire. Within the film, the main life enlightenments are involved into three aspects. The first aspect is the self-improvement, labor to get rich, self-discipline and professional ethics. The second one is the individualism, civil liberty and equal opportunity for all. The third one is self-dependence, initiative and optimistic spirits. From these three aspects, viewers could obtain lots of things to reflect on and then acquire certain directions to guide their future road. Besides, the small potato’s struggle history can let viewers have an empathizing feeling. Due to the Gump’s rough experience, it can easily let viewers think back to their own hard life experiences. Thus when seeing Gump’s success, they would also rekindle dreams. That is to say, Forrest Gump has the amiable view and zero distance which is the major factor of its success.
  Secondly, the theme of love runs through the whole film. In this film, love is divided into three parts. The first part is the family affection between Gump and his mother. The second part is Gump’s friendship with Barbe. The final part is the love with Jenny. These three kinds of love deeply explain the statement that there is kindness to be found everywhere. Love is the most sincere and beautiful feeling among human emotions. It is yearned for and needed by everyone. Praise and manifestation towards love is the everlasting theme. As a result, these three kinds of love in Forrest Gump would make views visibly moved and warm. 
  Thirdly, Forrest Gump could let us get back certain important virtues. In spite of low intelligence quotient, Gump possesses many virtues which are honesty, keeping his word, bravery and empressement etc. These virtues are gradually far away from the current society. When watching the film, people would be deeply moved by Gump’s virtues. It can be said that Gump’s experience stands for everyone’s age of innocence and it can assist people to return to their original nature.
